At Litohoro, on the foot of mount Olympus, only five kilometers away from the ancient town of Dion, where every day archeologists reveal new archeological treasures. This is the place where the western civilisation was born, only 80 Km away from Vergina with the well known Macedonian Graves. Thessaloniki, which is 80 Km away from Litohoro, has also got Byzantin museums churches and enormous castles, the old town and the mall. On the west side, (35 km) there is the valley of Tempi, where Dias had a flirt with 9 Muses and a little further Meteora (130 Km) with the Byzantin monasteries hanging from nowhere.
